Devendra Potnis is an associate professor at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. His research focuses on access to and use of information tools, resources, and services by students, marginalized communities, libraries, microfinance, and governments. He has published practitioner-oriented research in Communications of the AIS, First Monday, Government Information Quarterly, Information Development, Information Processing & Management, International Journal of Information Management, IT and Libraries, IT for Development, JASIS&T, Journal of Education for Library and Information Science, Journal of Information Science, Journal of Librarianship & Information Science, Library and Information Science Research, Telematics and Informatics, The Information Society, The Library Quarterly, and other reputed journals.
