I am a Ph.D. candidate in Information Science in the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University. I use mixed methods to study task-based information seeking in everyday and health contexts. Specifically, my research investigates how task characteristics are connected with individuals’ information seeking behaviors and barriers. In my dissertation research, I am examining how study settings and tasks affect users’ Web search behaviors. Currently, I am also the treasurer for the New Jersey ASIS&T chapter and I am serving on the 2018 ASIST SIG-USE Symposium organizing committee.
