A biotechnologist turned information professional, Manika is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Delhi. She is also serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Library and Information Services (IJLIS) published by IGI Global and Newsletter Officer for ASIS&T South Asia Chapter.
She is an active reviewer for many international journals including Journal of Big Data, IEEE Access, Journal of International Medical Research, Scientometrics, and Journal of Information Science among others. She was Editor-at-large for dh+lib for 3 weeks (an ACRL Digital Humanities Interest Group project) and was a reviewer for 2020 EDUCAUSE ELI Annual Meeting. She is on the Program Committee of The Digital Marketing & eCommerce Conference (2020-Present).
She was featured in the Information Professionals Share their Top Tips for 2019 blog by Copyright Clearance Center. At ICDL 2019 conference, she received the best paper award for her research paper presented at the conference. Recently, she received $600 in Amazon Mechanical Turk credits from the Summer Institute of Computational Social Science (SICSS) to support her proposed research on An Experimental design on the Relationship between COVID-19 misinformation and Protective Behavior.
