Dr. Mayank Trivedi, is presently the University Librarian(Professor Grade) & Senate Member at Smt. Hansa Mehta Library, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda(www.msubaroda.ac.in), Vadodara. As a University Librarian of the MSU, Dr Mayank Trivedi contributed immensely to its overall development. The H M Library was ranked among top 20 libraries across the india (INFLIBNET 2013). Smt. Hansa Mehta Library was ranked among top ten Best Libraries across the India in India Today - Nielson Survey (2016).

As an Account Administrator for URKUND- anti Plagiarism tool, creating awareness about what is plagiarism, how to detect and avoid it? amongst students and educators in MSU.
Prior to this, he was University Librarian & Publication Officer at Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar where he becomes instrumental for renovating infrastructure and improving Information services of the Library and designed the web portal of Bhaikaka Library, Vallabh Vidyanagar., Sardar Patel University.
He has initiated the development of Open Knowledge Gateway(OKG), IR @ MSU
Dr Trivedi has been actively involved in establishing a new Medical Library from grass root level at CU Shah Medical College as per MCI norms. He got nurtured at Pramukhswami Medical College, Karamsad, Govt Dental College & Hospital and M P Shah Medical College, Jamnagar. He has started his career from Cadila Labs Ltd. as an Information Scientist. After rich exposure in corporate environment at Cadila Research Centre, Ahmedabad, where his first achievement of automating the R& D Library and transforming it into state-of-the-art establishment.
A recipient of IFLA ,SHASTRI and ETD Fellowships, Dr Trivedi is a Science graduate with Diploma in Computer Science and PhD in Library and Information Science, with exposure to several-advanced training programme on the application of IT to Library Management.
Dr Trivedi has visited several countries in relation to various assignments.

Dr Trivedi has been the Conference Director/Member of Organizing Committee/Key note speaker/Chief Guest/Resource person in various National and International Conferences/Orientation/Refresher Courses. Six students have been conferred PhD Degree under his guidance and eight more research scholars are pursuing PhD under his supervision. He has guided a number of students of BLISc, MLISc, MPhil, PhD, PGDCA of various Universities.
In 22 years professional career, he has published over 40 papers, delivered over 100 lectures, authored/edited two important books in his chosen field, and sponsored/supported organizations and causes related to Library and Information Science.
His current research interests includes Digital Libraries, Open Educational Resources, Web-based Learning and Education, Health Informatics, Web 2.0, Knowledge Management, Virtual Library, Reengineering of Libraries, Open Access Publishing etc.
